All About Bad Boys 4

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are joining forces once again for Bad Boys 4.

The Bad Boys franchise debuted in 1995 with Smith and Lawrence starring as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, a pair of detectives in Miami tackling drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

Following the original film, sequels Bad Boys II in 2003 and Bad Boys for Life in 2020 were released. Before officially confirming the fourth installment in early 2023, Lawrence expressed in Ebony magazine that he had potential for "one more" film "at least."

The original Bad Boys film marked a significant achievement, showcasing the box office power of two Black sitcom stars, as highlighted by Lawrence.

From the returning cast members like Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, and Jacob Scipio, to new additions such as Tasha Smith taking over the role of Theresa Burnett, the wife of Marcus, previously portrayed by Theresa Randle, and actors like Eric Dane, Ion Gruffudd, and Rhea Seehorn joining the ensemble, Bad Boys 4 promises an exciting lineup.

Building on the storyline of Bad Boys for Life, where Marcus becomes a grandfather and faces threats from a vengeful criminal, the upcoming film will likely continue the high-octane action and personal drama that fans have come to expect from the series.

Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Bad Boys 4 is anticipated to bring more adrenaline-fueled thrills to the screen when it hits theaters on June 7, 2024.
